A family-owned private practice in Atlanta's Perimeter area, seeks a Dental Hygienist (RDH) for two days a week (Mon/Tues or Tues/Wed), with the opportunity to transition to full-time as we grow if desired. Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough prophylaxis and periodontal therapies.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, and taking vital signs.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care.
  • Apply sealants, fluoride, and other adjunct treatments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical imaging and treatment plans.
  • Assist in the management of dental instruments and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.
  • Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid dental hygiene license and certification.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and dental terminology.
  • Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health.
  • Familiarity with medical coding and managing medical records.
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Ability to perform medical imaging procedures as required.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing patient records and appointments.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
