We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists with various procedures and provide quality care to our patients. Our growing private general practice offers a fun and relaxed atmosphere where you’ll feel part of our family. While experienced assistants are preferred, we are happy to train and support newcomers in developing their skills.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Assist dentists during dental procedures
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Perform X-rays and develop them for review
- Maintain aseptic techniques during all clinical procedures
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists in various treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
Requirements:
- Prior experience in dental assisting
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Open Dental
- Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures
- Familiarity with taking X-rays and ensuring proper safety measures
- Understanding of pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
MUST be able to work 1 late day, and 1 Saturday a month.
An assistant who is friendly, has a positive attitude, energetic, driven, and able to follow directions would be a great fit! Open Dental experience is a plus!
Full-time will be available and the schedule is flexible which can be discussed further. 4-day week schedule, 5 if needed.
Salary: Starts at $20 hourly, based on experience
